In this articel i want to tell you about how to install Android 4.0 ICS Room, Especially in Acer Iconia Tab A500 and Tab A100. Acer Iconia A500 and Tab A100 are not as powerful as Iconia Tab A200 but can handle Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich pretty well with Cortex A9 1Ghz dual core processor and Nvidia Tegra 2 chipset and GPU. The Android ICS 4.0 firmware update is available for download and we are going to tell you how you can install it on your A500 or A100 Tablet and get latest update. previous week member of XDA developer has successfully booted a backed up android 4.0 frimware on acer iconia tab A500 and same is affirmed to be working on Iconia Tab A100.. oke chek it out!
Note: Backup your current ROM using Recovery mode. Just boot into recovery mode and select option “Backup and Restore” and then select “Backup current ROM”. Your stock ROM will be backed up and saved on a zip file.
Prerequisite:
1. You will need a rooted device with unlocked boot loader to do this process.
2. Back up all data including SMS, Call logs, personal files, music, videos, pics.
3. Download the firmware requires as per your device and rename it to icsupdate.zip.

Step by Step how to Install Android 4.0 ICS ROM on Iconia Tab (A500 & A100): - Turn off your Tablet and start into recovery mode. For this hold the power button and Volume up button at once for 3 seconds until the boot screen appears.
- In recovery mode you need to select “Install zip from SD card”. Now select the ICSupdate.zip package we have transferred to SD card root.
- Android ICS firmware package will start the installing process and it will take 5-10 minutes. After the process is complete and confirmed select “+++Go Back+++” to go back to the starting menu where you can find option to turn off the device.
- Select the option “Reboot sytem now”. You will be booted into ICS firmware.
